Protest planned for Prince William, Kate’s Canada visit

A protest has been planned ahead of Prince William and Kate's upcoming visit to Canada.

Members of Quebecois Network of Resistance (Rrq) have announced plans to protest the Royals' visit over the cost of the visit and the political ramifications.

Members of the Campaign group have plans of holding a rally at the Quebec City Hall when Britain's new royal couple stop in cities across Canada, ahead of their trip to California.

"If Prince William and Princess Catherine want to come to Quebec as British citizens for a honeymoon they pay for themselves, we don't have a problem with it," Contactmusic quoted Patrick Bourgeois, Rrq leader, as saying.

"But if they come at the invitation of the Canadian federal government, which wants to offend and humiliate Quebec separatists, we will be there," he added.
